The Big Bang of Your Life: How Birth Shapes Your Dreams
You are not a troubled guest on this earth,
you are not an accident amidst other accidents
you were invited from another and greater night
than the one from which you have just emerged
David Whyte, What to Remember When Waking
Processing dreams through drawing symbols:
We only know that there are psychic phenomena that manifest through dreams, or involuntary gestures, or speech mistakes, or hallucinations, or fantasies, which are not conscious. You can be befallen, for instance, in the daytime, by fantasy. And tell it to your analyst and say it's a completely weird fantasy, it's crazy, I don't know what it means. So as you don't know what it means and you think it's crazy, it's obviously not conscious. Because if it were conscious you would know what it means and you would know what it refers to… it is psychic, it has not happened materially, it is a psychic event. And that's why we call the sum of all events that are not conscious, the unconscious.

the spirit of dogwood
The pale flowers of the dogwood outside this window are saints. The little yellow flowers that nobody notices on the edge of that road are saints looking up into the face of God.

ideas for catching a dream
I dreamed I was a butterfly, flitting around in the sky; then I awoke. Now I wonder: Am I a man who dreamt of being a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man?

falling into dream analysis
You must look carefully in your dreams to find where the new energy wants to come through. The dream will show you clearly where the new energy wants to be released into consciousness. You have to honor that, follow it, and try to pull it through.
